Camille faced some tough challenges in her life. The challenges helped her grow incredibly. She was severely bullied for most of her high school experience and, coupled with dealing with mental illness, was extremely hard. One of her singles titled “Bad One” is actually about the bullying she dealt with for years. Over time, she learned how to stand up for herself and now knows what kind of person she doesn’t want to be. Camille believes that she overcame all of that because she focused on work, school, bettering herself, and reaching her goals instead of what other people were saying to her.
Her biggest musical influences are Olivia Rodrigo, Billie Elish, Bea Miller, and Tate McRae, who together impact her songwriting and style. She also loves the 70s and takes inspiration from a lot of 70s music and artists. Her biggest inspiration is Miley Cyrus.
In the meantime, if you’re craving something sweet, fresh, and new, “Strawberry Shortcake” is not just America’s favorite dessert, but also McKenna Camille’s smashing new single that’s sure to delight. This pop/dance song has a 1970’s twist that blends old and new sounds for something truly original. The single “Strawberry Shortcake” was released earlier, along with a lively and fun music video. The concept of the video is all about good times, adventures, and relationships and is upbeat and lighthearted!
