Non-Profit Founder Lavar Jacobs Releases New Single “All Pink” In Support of Breast Cancer Awareness

{AKRON, OHIO} -- May 1, 2020 - Not Just October’s Founder Lavar Jacobs announced the release of his single All Pink in support of breast cancer awareness. Produced by GranmahsBoi and directed by Cody LaRosa, All Pink had been in production for all of ten days from start to finish before being published. This is the first musical piece by Jacobs in connection with Not Just October, but not the first out-of-the-box tactic to garner awareness. This public services announcement is one that grabs the attention of people in a very unique way.

Jacobs not only spreads awareness about his organization through the lyrics of All Pink, but he educates and provides information about self-testing and staying aware of your body. When asked about why he created All Pink, Jacobs replied, “Being able to stress the importance of mammograms and self-health through a song was always a dream of mine. I created “All Pink” as an outside-of-the-box way to spread the NJO message and also give women an anthem to let them know how strong they are. I want this song to serve as a beacon of hope for women currently battling and an educational piece for anyone who isn’t aware. We are in this together and this song will bring unity to all”.

All Pink was shot in the heart of downtown Akron, Ohio, capturing the essence of Not Just October’s Awareness Mobile; another out-of-the-box tactic Jacobs uses to spread awareness in a unique way. Jacobs does not take being a non-profit founder lighty. Creating ways to engage an audience, educate an audience, and keep an audience entertained in the non-profit space can become repetitive. Jacobs takes pride in creating unique ways to execute those same objectives, but does them at a heightened level. From appearing on The Steve Harvey Show to making an appearance on Basketball Wives, Jacobs is spreading awareness about breast cancer to audiences around the world. You can listen to All Pink on all streaming platforms and all proceeds are being donated to Not Just October in support of breast cancer patients.

About Not Just October And Lavar Jacobs

Not Just October, a non – profit, 501(c)(3) organization, was created in 2014 to expand the knowledge and resources available to breast cancer patients, survivors, and their supporters. We are dedicated to fostering a culture of encouragement, advocacy, and total support. Through the promotion of education and community engagement, we hope to improve the awareness around breast cancer and its effect on families around the world. Lavar Jacobs founded the organization in memory of his mother, Kim, who passed away in 2009 from breast cancer. Seeing first hand how his mother struggled to do everyday activities, his vision to change the way that our communities think and talk about breast cancer came to fruition through the development of NJO. Jacobs’s mission is to continue to stress the importance of regular health screenings, self-exams, and to improve the quality of life of breast cancer patients. Not Just October is dedicated to not only increase the awareness around breast cancer and its effects on families; but also to helping breast cancer patients, survivors, and their loved ones lead a more comfortable life. Besides contributing to the research and development in the fight against breast cancer, we make it our mission to extend a helping and caring hand to those who have already been affected by the disease. Through frequent community events and outreach programs, Not Just October continues to spread our message and garner support from people around the country. Whether supporters are donating a dollar or spending just an hour of their time helping to make a breast cancer patient’s life just a little bit easier, their commitment is appreciated and helps to reinforce the ideals that NJO was founded upon. The organization continues to grow and gain more support across the nation, spreading the word that breast cancer is an issue worthy of attention all year round, not just in October.
